The course will be valid as a certificate of attendance certified as License for Family Assistants.
This type of deed (Certificate Certificate) presupposes that an accredited body (e.g. a school or other center that has received accreditation from its home region) is issuing a certificate. It has full legal validity.
160 hours of the course will also be recognized to complete the total number of hours of the Social Welfare Worker school in the Lombardy Region.
TRAINING AND WORK PROJECT
Training caregivers is a project that aims to find staff with the will and need to make a training and work path as a cohabiting family assistant for a limited period of time.
The duration is 3/4 weeks for about 12/15 applicants, with the subsequent job placement, training and accommodation is completely free, what we ask is the utmost seriousness.
Its goal is to:
• recruit and select care staff in the country of origin
• train staff linguistically
• train staff with theoretical and practical lessons
• place personnel into families in the social context where it was formed
dove è stato formato
• limit the socio-sanitary problem called “Italy Syndrome”
• bring to know the families who previously have had negative experiences with caregivers, that there may also be different realities.
The program we have drawn up has the ultimate goal of including personnel in the various Italian realities who are able to speak, understand, read the Italian language, but above all, staff who have assistance training for the future elderly to whom they will be assigned.
The programme consists of several specific phases as follows:
Recruitment and Selection
Inclusion in the social context
Integration in families and work contract
RECRUITMENT AND SELECTION
It is carried out in the candidate’s country of origin.
It consists of collecting the necessary documentation to access the selection and evaluation of curricula with the aim of dividing candidates depending on the skills and experience spent.
It will be carried out with a first cognitive course of a few days where the training course will be illustrated and language skills will be evaluated in order to equate the candidates with a homogeneous subsequent language training.
The recruitment phase is occured in the country of origin by staff selected and prepared for this task, the staff are trusted staff, able to speak and understand the Italian language, with considerable experience in the field of health care and in the field of training and coordination.
The selection judgment will be as fair as possible, ensuring the access of the most suitable candidates with certain requirements to the training phase.
LANGUAGE AND CIVIC TRAINING
It is carried out in Italy in the weekly morning hours.
The teaching of the Italian language is a fundamental point in the integration process.
Language training aims to learn primarily oral knowledge to facilitate the relationship between employer/employee/user.
The participants will be followed by a professional figure who will start from teaching the basics of Italian grammar to arrive at the acquisition of good listening skills and dialogue, a fundamental tool for the success of any relationship.
It is carried out in Italy in the weekly afternoon hours.
The Caregiver does home care work. Her activity is to help and assist elderly, sick, disabled people who often live a condition of social exclusion.
The knowledge and skills required of those who play this role are many and cover different areas: communicative, relational, social, health, legislative, bureaucratic.
During her activity, the Caregiver interacts with other people who revolve around the patient: the family, the GP, the health services.
The training course will seek to give as much skills as possible in order to be able to play its role to the fullest.
PROFESSIONAL PRACTICAL TRAINING
It is carried out in Italy in the weekly afternoon hours.
The best thing to put into practice the theoretical notions in a professional way is training provided by trained healthcare personnel, equipped classrooms are used with all the necessary furnishings.
There will also be days of passive support with our existing staff.
BIOLOGICAL RISK PREVENTION TRAINING
The emergence of the COVID – 19 pandemic has highlighted the need to improve knowledge of a risk present in many workplaces and especially the home work for which – often – we are not sufficiently prepared.
The aim is to transmit basic knowledge to address biological risk, which is essential to consider in daily activities with an even greater need for attention and clarity.
The topics covered will be basic nods of microbiology and classification of microorganisms according to D.Lgs. 81/08, biological risk assessment, specific and general preventive measures, collective and individual protection devices related to the type of activity and situation, emergency management in biological risk.
PRACTICAL TRAINING IN THE KITCHEN
It is carried out in the house that hosts the staff at dinner time.
Each country has different eating habits and each culture has its own judgment on which foods are good or bad.
It is not easy to get used to different flavors and ways of cooking than your own. It is important for the elderly to maintain their habits and to have a diet that is age-appropriate and healthy. This theme is being dealt with in the theoretical part, but even from a practical point of view it is not to be underestimated.
Every evening a cook can teach the preparation of simple but typical dishes of the area, that can be prepared and tasted by the candidates at dinner time.
FIRST AID TRAINING
The aim is to provide caregivers with all the skills they need to react quickly in emergencies through a series of lectures from doctors, nurses and experienced professionals.
